DENTAL PRACTICES, INSTITUTIONS AND COVID-19

WEBINAR ON DEMAND

Course Description

As we continue to cope with a global public health emergency, understanding dentistry’s role and restrictions is vital to protect the health of dental personnel, patients and the public. This course will provide dental professionals in private practice, and administrators in dental education with information on strategies to reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19, operate your business under increasing restrictions, manage the urgent needs of your patients, and communicate to your patients, employees, and other critical partners.
During the pause that we all must take, you can also begin planning for how you will resume business when it is safe to do so.

Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Describe the methods of social distancing, including self-isolation and shelter in place.
  • Define the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory illnesses.
  • Understand which types of PPE are appropriate for standard precautions and transmission-based precautions.
  • Determine how to communicate critical information to patients, employees, students, and critical partners.
